Wrestling Sends Four To All-Conference Team

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The UNC Pembroke wrestling team continued an annual tradition Friday afternoon as four Braves – Keegan Roberson (1st Team), Logan Robinson (2nd), Caleb Grau (2nd), and Logan Hoffman (3rd) – were decorated with All-Conference Carolinas honors.

The announcement marks the seventh-straight year that the Black & Gold has had three or more wrestlers decorated with all-conference nods. It is the third career all-conference honor for Roberson, as well as the second time Grau has earned the selection, while Robinson and Hoffman each picked up their first all-conference laurels.
 
A product of Chicago, Ill. and 157 pounder, Roberson closed out the regular season with an 18-3 record, including a perfect 6-0 mark in Conference Carolinas duals. The redshirt-junior is currently ranked No. 12 in the country and has racked up four major decisions, five technical falls, and four pins.

A native of Chesapeake, Va., Robinson has reeled of an 8-3 record this season, including a 4-2 mark in Conference Carolinas action. The senior is currently ranked No. 6 in the country at 133 pounds, and has tallied three technical falls and three pins.

A product of Belleville, Ill., Grau currently sits at No. 15 in the country in the 165-pound division, and finished the regular season with an 8-2 record, including 4-0 in Conference Carolinas duals. The graduate student has tallied a major decision, a technical fall, and three pins. 

A native of Belle Vernon, Pa. and 174 pounder, Hoffman finished the regular season with a 10-8 record, including a perfect 6-0 mark in Conference Carolinas action. The redshirt-junior has logged a major decision, two technical falls, and three pins. 
 

The Braves will be back in action Sunday, February 15 as they host the Conference Carolinas Wrestling Championship. The Black & Gold will take on Montevallo in the semifinals at 11 a.m., with the winner advancing to the championship match set for 1 p.m.
