SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – James Bankston won his first match of the day, before dropping his final two bouts to bring home a sixth-place finish Saturday at the NCAA Championships.

Bankston won via medical forfeit over No. 6 seed Isaiah Vance of Pitt-Johnstown, before dropping a 2-1 decision to No. 4 seed Carter Blough of Grand Valley State. Bankston then fell to No. 5 seed Freddie Retter of Kutztown in the fifth-place match. 

The Braves finished with 13.5 team points and tied for 21st out of 49 teams at the event.
