GREENVILLE, S.C. - After helping the UNC Pembroke men's basketball team to its fifth consecutive Conference Carolinas regular season title last week, Dallas Whitney has been named as the Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Week presented by Athletic Solutions, league officials announced Monday afternoon.

A native of Kansas City, Mo., Whitney played a key role in helping the Braves to a 2-0 week. The junior averaged 20.0 points per game while shooting 61.9 percent from the field. Whitney started the week with a career-high 29 points at North Greenville, and closed out the week with 11 points against Chowan. He added six rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block for the week as well. 

Whitney is shooting 45.9 percent from the field this season and is averaging 7.0 points per game. 

The Braves will play in the Conference Carolinas Tournament semifinals on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. inside the Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium in Spartanburg, S.C.
