Softball Picks Up Sweep Over North Greenville

PEMBROKE - The UNC Pembroke softball team tallied 19 hits across two games to help fuel a sweep over North Greenville on Friday afternoon at Willoughby Field. 

Summer Bullard registered her 500th career strikeout during Friday's victory. 

UNCP put up multiple runs across three innings, while North Greenville stranded 10 base runners as the Braves took the opening game 7-0. The Black & Gold's offensive continued into the second game scoring runs in four of the six innings including a three-run third inning to fuel a 6-1 victory to complete the sweep.

BOT 3 UNC Pembroke loaded the bases after Kaitlynn Hunt was hit by a pitch, Chloe Locklear drew a walk and Makayla Etling singled. Maggie Cunningham cleared the bases with a triple down the right field line to give the Braves a 5-0 lead. 
KEY INNINGS (GAME 2)
BOT 3 UNCP put runners on first and third, but a triple down the right field line from Maddie Gerovac scored a pair of runs to put the Braves out in front 4-0.
