Soccer Wraps Up Road Trip With Scoreless Draw At Wingate

WINGATE – UNC Pembroke logged ten shots but couldn't find the back of the net as the Braves wrapped up its season-opening, four-game road trip with a 0-0 draw at Wingate in non-conference action Wednesday evening.

Addison Ellsworth made seven saves to record her 11th career clean sheet.

The result marks the first time in program history the Braves have recorded back-to-back 0-0 draws and the first time since 2013 the Black & Gold has seen multiple 0-0 draws in a season.

The Braves (1-1-2) moved to 6-10-3 in the all-time series with the Bulldogs (2-1-2).
 
TOP BRAVES
+ Hailey Jones logged career highs in shots (5) and shots on goal (2).
+ Addison Ellsworth tallied 6+ saves between the pipes for the third-straight match.
NOTABLES
+ Wingate held the advantage in shots 22-10, and a 7-3 edge in shots on goal.
+ Each squad tallied five corner kicks.
   
UP NEXT
The Braves will be back in action Saturday, September 12 as they take the pitch for their home opener against Conference Carolinas foe Shorter. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at LREMC Stadium.
