AS A SOPHOMORE (2015): Played in seven games, including four home contests … Also saw action in road games with North Greenville, North Alabama and Catawba.

AS A FRESHMAN (2014): Played in one game … Saw action against Valdosta State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Piedmont High School for coach Ron Massey … Earned all-conference and all-county laurels as a senior after turning in 86 tackles, including 9-1/2 sacks … Also tallied three forced fumbles … Collected a pair of team awards as well, including most improved player and defensive player of the year … Turned in 65 tackles (4-1/2 sacks) as a junior and 71 tackles (4 sacks) as a sophomore for the Panthers … Also lettered in basketball and track & field for Piedmont … Earned all-conference laurels as a senior on the basketball team.

PERSONAL: The son of Alfreda Green and Makaius Funderburk … Has two younger sisters, Aliyah and Kamryn … Maintained a 3.1 cumulative grade point average at Piedmont High School … A nursing major at UNCP.
