AS A SOPHOMORE (2014): Played in four games … Threw for 59 yards on 10-of-23 passing with one interception … Also ran for 43 yards on 17 carries … Threw for 59 yards on 10-of-22 passing at Wingate … Ran for 45 yards (11 carries) at Tusculum, including a season-long 17-yard carry in the fourth quarter … Tallied two rushing yards (one carry) against Valdosta State.

BEFORE UNCP: Played two seasons (2012-13) at Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Miss. … Redshirted (medical) as a true freshman in 2012 … Threw for 556 yards (54-of-96 passing) and three touchdowns as a redshirt freshman, including a 28-for-43, 292-yard effort against Mississippi Delta Community College … Also ran for 107 yards (23 carries) and an additional score.

HIGH SCHOOL: Threw for 2,850 yards and 36 touchdowns during his senior campaign to helped lead Mallard Creek and coach Mike Palmari to a 13-1 record and the region semifinal round … Also rushed for 200 yards and three additional scores en route to all-conference laurels … Registered eight interceptions on defense for the Mavericks … Led his squad to a win over defending North Carolina state champion Butler High School to snap the nation's longest winning streak … Earned all-conference honors as a junior at Concord First Assembly after throwing for nearly 1,300 yards and a dozen touchdowns … Also ran for 647 yards and 13 scores … Turned in five interceptions on defense.

PERSONAL: The son of Chris and Jim Goodman … Has two older brothers, Peter and Alex … Graduated in the top 30 percent of his 650-member senior class at Mallard Creek High School … A business marketing major at UNCP.
