HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Ayden-Grifton High School for coach Paul Cornwell … Earned all-state and conference defensive player of the year honors as a prep senior after logging 121 tackles (98 solo), including 23 tackles for loss … Also hauled in 20 catches for 298 yards and one touchdown as a tight end … Also took home his second-straight all-conference and all-area accolades … Amassed 104 tackles (84 solo) as a junior, while also registering three interceptions … Caught 12 passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns as well … Is also a standout on the basketball and baseball teams for the Chargers as well … Earned all-conference nods in both sports at Ayden-Grifton.

PERSONAL: The son of Julie Eadus and John Wright … Has three sisters – Casey, Macie and Olivia – and two brothers, Joshua and Evan … Maintained a 3.3 cumulative grade point average at Ayden-Grifton High School and graduated in the top 27 percent of his 122-member senior class … A physical education major at UNCP.
