AS A SOPHOMORE (2019): Started all 11 contests … Threw for 2,210 yards and 16 touchdowns on 221-of-355 (.623) passing with six interceptions … Also ran for 115 yards and five additional scores on 77 rushing attempts. Winston-Salem State: Threw for 180 yards and one touchdown on 21-of-35 passing … also added a season-best 71 yards on 11 carries … completed seven of his first nine pass attempts (78 yards) … went 6-of-10 for 56 yards on eventual game-winning drive late in fourth quarter, including 14-yard scoring strike to Shammond Hicks. Virginia State: Finished 16-of-32 for 162 yards, with both a touchdown and an interception … was also sacked six times. Catawba: Threw for 127 yards and two touchdowns, while also adding 17 rushing yards and an additional score … ran for all 18 yards of a drive late in first half, including a 1-yard scoring plunge that marked his first career rushing touchdown. Newberry: Finished with 147 yards on 18-of-31 passing with one interception. Wingate: Threw for 172 yards on 17-of-29 passing … performance included a 53-yard pass to Quay Threatt midway through third quarter on UNCP’s only scoring drive of the contest. Central State: Completed 75 percent (27-of-36) of his pass attempts … threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns … Hooked up with Tyshawn Carter on a 37-yard scoring strike in the first quarter … completed all four of his pass attempts (37 yards) on a drive late in the first half, while also pushing UNCP into the red zone with a season-longest 19-yard scamper. Concord: Threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns on 14-of-20 passing … also ran for 27 yards on five carries … gave the Braves a 28-17 halftime lead with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Quay Threatt with 10 seconds left. Lenoir-Rhyne: Completed five of his 16 pass attempts and threw two interceptions … completed four of his seven pass attempts for 22 yards in the opening half, as well as an interception. Mars Hill: Threw for a season-best 259 yards and two touchdowns on 19-of-37 passing with one interception … found Quadrin Williams on a 53-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter. Carson-Newman: Completed 11 of his 32 pass attempts for 120 yards with an interception … also ran for a season-high 34 yards on just six carries. Catawba: Threw for 230 yards and a season-high three touchdowns on 19-of-33 passing … bridged the first and second quarter by engineering a 75-yard touchdown drive that saw him complete six of his seven pass attempts (63 yards), while also carrying the ball twice for nine yards.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at John T. Hoggard High School for coach Craig Underwood … Earned both conference and area offensive player of the year honors as a senior after throwing for 2,836 yards and 43 touchdowns on 177-of-264 passing with just five interceptions … Threw for 363 yards and six touchdowns on 23-of-33 passing in a 47-46 loss to Scotland High School in the state semifinal round … Earned first team all-conference and all-area nods as a junior after throwing for 2,276 yards and 20 touchdowns on 152-of-261 passing with eight interceptions … Also lettered in basketball and track & field for the Vikings.
