2010 (JUNIOR): A second team selection to the D2Football.com all-NCAA Independents squad … Finished season 8-of-12 (.750) on field goal attempts, including a 6-for-8 (.750) success rate from 20-39 yards … Also had one blocked attempt … Was 2-for-2 from 20-29 yards, 4-for-6 from 30-39 yards and 2-for-4 from 40-49 yards … Was also 24-for-27 (.889) on point-after attempts … Averaged 59.7 yards on 29 kickoffs, including two touchbacks and one kick that went out of bounds … Led team with 48 points on the season … Connected on a season-long 48-yard field goal against Carson-Newman – the last of a season-high three field goals on the day in a win over the Eagles … Was also a perfect 2-for-2 on field goal attempts, including a 47-yard field goal, in a loss to Concord … Was perfect on point-after attempts against six different opponents, including a season-high 6-for-6 in the win at St. Paul’s … Scored a season-high 12 points (3 FG, 3 PAT) against Carson-Newman … Averaged nearly 65 yards (64.6) on seven kickoffs against the Eagles as well.

2009 (SOPHOMORE): A first team selection to the D2Football.com all-NCAA Independents squad … Finished season 10-of-15 (.667) on field goal attempts, including a 7-of-8 (.875) success rate from 20-29 yards … Also had one blocked attempt … Was 1-for-3 from 30-39 yards and 2-of-4 from 40-49 yards away … Connected on 41 of his 46  (.891) point after attempts … Led team with 71 points on the season … Tallied a pair of field goals in both road contests against Fayetteville State and Concord, including a season-best 42-yard attempt against the Mountain Lions … Also registered a 41-yard field goal against Wingate … Perfect on five point-after attempts against Fayetteville State and Fairmont State, registered a 6-for-6 success rate at North Greenville and kicked a school record seven (7-for-7) point after attempts at Frostburg State … Successful on 21-straight extra point attempts from October 10 (Fairmont State) to November 14 (Arkansas Tech) … Streak ended on a blocked attempt in the third quarter of the playoff matchup with the Wonder Boys.

2008 (FRESHMAN): A second team selection to both the D2Football.com all-NCAA Independent and ICAA all-NCAA Independent squads … Finished season 8-of-15 (.533) on field goal attempts, including a 4-for-6 mark from 20-29 yards … Also had two blocked attempts … Was 4-for-7 from 30-39 yards and missed both attempts from 40+ yards out … Connected on 36 of his 44 (.818) point after attempts … Led team with 60 points on season … Converted on all three attempts (37,30,25) against Wingate, and followed that performance up by nailing all three (20,31,25) attempts against Jacksonville at home … Kicked two field goals in final 4:24 in comeback effort against the Dolphins, including the 25-yard game-winner with 1:14 left in the game … Also kicked off three times against Jacksonville, including fourth quarter onside kick that was recovered by the Braves … Earned D2Football.com Special Teams Player of the Week laurels with effort against Wingate in which he established a new school record for points by a kicker with three field goals and an extra point against the Bulldogs … He would match the record the following week with the same performance against the Dolphins.

HIGH SCHOOL: An accomplished kicker at Terry Sanford High School for coach Wayne Inman … Helped pace the Bulldogs to a 6-6 record as a prep senior, as well as a spot in the state playoffs … Converted 33-of-34 extra point attempts and 6-of-11 field goals as a senior, including a season-long 49-yard field goal … Named first team all-conference and all-region … As a prep junior, successfully converted 31-of-32 extra point attempts … A three-sport athlete for Terry Sanford, also lettered for the Bulldogs’ golf and soccer teams.

PERSONAL: The son of Misti and David Baskett was born on April 22, 1990 … Has a younger sister, Victoria … Both parents are UNC Chapel Hill graduates … Graduated in the top 26 percent of his 312-member senior class at Terry Sanford High School while maintaining a 3.6 cumulative grade point average … A history education major at UNCP.
