2009 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Played in 11 games for UNCP with 10 starts to his credit … Caught four passes for 82 yards (18.0 avg.) … A mainstay on an offensive line that paved the way for the nation’s ninth-ranked rushing attack … Registered first career reception against Lane (six yards) … Caught one pass in consecutive games with Concord (15 yards), Frostburg State (6) and North Greenville (45) … Also tallied a tackle on special teams against Carson-Newman.

2008 (FRESHMAN): Redshirted. Did not see varsity action.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at West Cartaret High School for coach John Lancaster … Earned team most valuable player, all-connference, all-area and area player of the year laurels after standout senior season performance … Also voted West Carteret’s most outstanding male athlete and best all-around male athlete for the second-straight year … An all-conference performer in basketball and baseball for the Patriots as well, earning team most valuable player accolades following senior season … Was also named area player of the year following senior season in basketball.

PERSONAL: The son of Deborah and David Belknap was born on Dec. 10, 1989 … Has an older sister, Danielle … Maintained a 3.9 cumulative grade point average at West Carteret High School and graduated in the top 18 percent of his 240-member senior class … Enrolled in pre-major studies at UNCP.
