AS A FRESHMAN (2013)
A member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll ... Played in 37 matches, including 36 starts to her credit … Finished second on the team with 285 kills and 2.21 kills per set … Dished out 223 assists and averaged 1.73 assists per set … Led the team with 33 service aces and totaled a .933 servicing percentage … Tied for ninth in the Peach Belt Conference with 419 total digs, while also averaged 3.25 digs per set … Logged 45 total blocks, including two solo blocks and 43 block assists … Turned in 10 double-double performances throughout the season … Had double-digit kills in 13 matches, assists in six matches and digs in 24 matches … Saw a season-high 18 kills and 34 digs against Belmont Abbey … Saw a season-best 32 assists against Converse … Had three-consecutive games with two service aces and a season-high three service aces against Lander and Coker.

HIGH SCHOOL 
Prepped at Northeastern High School under coach Tim Brown … Played one year of varsity soccer and varsity basketball but focused on volleyball … During her senior campaign, she was named co-captain … Helped her team to a 20-1 record and to a conference championship, finish first at the Granby Tournament and the Endless Summer Tournament. … Earned all-conference and co-MVP laurels … Was named Daily Advance Volleyball Player of the Year and Northeastern Coastal Conference Co-Volleyball Player of the Year … Tallied 147 digs, 252 kills, 84 service aces and 42 blocks … As a junior led her team to a 22-1 record, a first place finish at the Granby Tournament and a second place finish at the 2A state championship … Was named to the Granby Tournament first-team and to the all-conference team … Totaled 14 digs, 137 kills, 16 service aces and 15 blocks … Also played club volleyball for the Coastal Virginia Volleyball Club 17 Blue under coach Andrea Howard.

The daughter of Donna and Steve Gonzalez … Has a younger brother, Tyler … Ranked eighth out of her 218-member senior class with a a 3.7 grade point average … A member of the A/B Honor Roll once and the A Honor Roll two times … Named to the Superintendent’s Academic team three times and won the eagle award once … A graduation marshal and a member of the Future Farmers of America Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the National Honor Society  … A chemistry major at UNCP.
