HIGH SCHOOL: A standout wide receiver at Monroe High School for coach Bobby Cloninger … Hauled in 37 passes for 684 yards and seven touchdowns in leading the Redhawks to an 11-3 record and a deep run in the state playoffs as a prep senior … Earned team spirit award, as well as second consecutive all-county and all-conference nods … Garnered coaches award laurels as a junior after catching 29 passes for 525 yards and five touchdowns … Was also an all-county basketball player at Monroe … Also lettered in track & field and tennis for the Redhawks.
