2009 (JUNIOR): Played in nine games for UNCP … Registered 16 tackles (nine solo), including one tackle for loss … Also forced two fumbles and tallied a pass break-up … Totaled two or more tackles against six opponents, including a season-best three tackles against Fayetteville State, Fairmont State and Frostburg State … Tallied a season-best three solo tackles in the opener at Fayetteville State, including a first quarter sack for a loss of eight yards … Grabbed a pair of solo stops at Fairmont State and two more against Frostburg State … Tallied lone pass break-up against Lane, and forced fumbles against both Wingate and Webber International.

BEFORE UNCP: Garnered all-star honors from the Mississippi Association of Community/Junior Colleges (MACJC) after a phenomenal sophomore season at ECCC … Also invited to the junior college all-star game and was named ECCC’s team most valuable player and defensive most valuable player.

HIGH SCHOOL: A defensive standout at Seventy-First High School for coach Bob Paroli … Earned all-conference laurels as a senior after helping to lead the Falcons to a 10-4 record and their second-straight playoff appearance … Also participated in track and field at Seventy-First.

PERSONAL: The son of Linda and Edward Brown was born on Feb. 10, 1988 … A physical education major at UNCP.
