HIGH SCHOOL: A standout lineman at North Gaston High School for coach Bruce Clark … Tallied 68 tackles, including 23 for loss and 13 sacks, in leading the Wildcats to a 12-3 record and a spot in the state title game … Also registered 17 quarterback hurries, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble … Two-year starter on both sides of the ball, also made a home on the North Gaston offensive line … Graded out at 80 percent as an offensive lineman … Captured all-conference and all-Gaston Gazette accolades as an offensive lineman, while also taking home all-conference laurels as a defensive lineman … Also earned both the Trudnok and coach’s award.
