HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at West Johnston High School for coach Kwame Dixon … Helped lead Wildcats to a 7-5 record, including a 6-1 clip in the Greater Neuse Conference, as well as a spot in the state playoffs … Completed 147-of-263 passes for 2,008 yards, 12 touchdowns and eight interceptions, as well as rushed the ball for 404 yards and 12 touchdowns as a prep senior … Also amassed 100 receiving yards and a pair of scores … On the defensive side of the ball, recorded 24 tackles and a pair of interceptions … An all-Greater Neuse conference selection, as well as team MVP and team offensive MVP … A four-sport athlete at West Johnston, he also lettered in baseball, basketball and track & field for the Wildcats.
