2009 (SOPHOMORE): Earned all-American status (honorable mention) from Don Hansen’s Football Gazette … Also named a second team selection to the Don Hansen’s Football Gazette All-Super Region II Team … A first team all-NCAA Independents selection by D2Football.com … Anchored an offensive line that ranked tied for ninth nationally in sacks allowed (1.00 sacks/game) and paved the way for the nation’s ninth-ranked rushing offense (231.73 yards/game) … Started 10 games for the Braves at center … Missed contest with Lane due to injury … Graded out near 88 percent for the season … Saw a season-high 81 snaps at Fayetteville State and 76 snaps in the win at Concord … Registered his best game of the season against the Broncos, grading out near 93 percent in the double overtime victory.

2008 (FRESHMAN): A first team selection to the ICAA all-NCAA Independent squad and a second team pick to the D2Football.com all-NCAA Independent listing … Started all 10 games for UNCP at right guard … Integral part of offensive line that ranked 10th nationally in sacks allowed (1.0/game) … Graded out at 82 percent for the season … Played in at least 60 snaps in four contests, including a season-best 68 in UNCP’s home win over Jacksonville … Had his best game of the season at West Virginia Wesleyan, grading out at 88 percent in 46 plays from scrimmage.

HIGH SCHOOL: An academic all-conference standout at Apex High School for coach Bob Wolfe … Amassed more than 50 tackles, including seven sacks, as a defensive lineman in leading the Cougars to a 7-5 record and a spot in the state playoffs … Registered 33 tackles and a pair of sacks as a junior in pacing AHS to a 6-6 clip and the first round of the state playoffs … Earned academic all-conference laurels following junior campaign as well.
