2008 (SOPHOMORE): A second team selection to the ICAA and a third team selection to the D2Football.com all-NCAA Independent squads … Started all 10 games for UNCP at left guard … Integral part of offensive line that ranked 10th nationally in sacks allowed (1.0/game) … Graded out at 80 percent for the season … Played a season-high 68 snaps against both Jacksonville and North Greenville, as well as 62 snaps against Wingate.

BEFORE UNCP: Played one season (2007) at Los Angeles (Calif.) Valley Community College … Started in 10 games for the Monarchs as a freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: A standout on the offensive and defensive lines at Westlake High School for coach Jim Benkert … Booked 30 tackles and four sacks as a senior in leading the Warriors to a 6-4 record … Earned all-league and all-county accolades at season’s end … Honors followed a junior season in which he was a key part of  Westlake’s run to a perfect 14-0 record and a Division 2 state championship.

PERSONAL: The son of Dianne and Michael Kennedy was born on March 12, 1987 … A broadcasting major at UNCP.
