HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at South Johnston HighSchool for coach Joe Salas … Registered 188 tackles, fiveinterceptions, two pass break-ups and seven blocked kicks (threepunts) in helping to lead the Trojans to a 14-2 record and a spotin the state championship game … Named defensive mostvaluable player of 3AA state championship game … Earnedsecond consecutive all-conference laurels, as well as SouthJohnston’s defensive most valuable player award …Amassed 91 tackles (two sacks), two pass break-ups and threeblocked kicks as a junior … Invited to participate in theEast-West All-Star game … Also a member of the basketballand track and field squads at South Johnston, finishing third inthe discus at the state track and field meet.
