AS A JUNIOR (2010): Played in four games, but missed a majority of the season with injury … Caught three passes for 81 yards (27.0 avg.) and rushed one time for three years … Hauled in two catches for 70 yards against St. Paul’s, including a 53-yard touchdown pass from Cory Smith in the first quarter … Also rushed the ball one time for three yards against the Tigers … Caught one pass for 11 yards in UNCP’s loss at Webber International.

BEFORE UNCP: Played two seasons at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for Steve Campbell … Played in eight games for the Bulldogs as a sophomore in 2009 … Caught 22 passes for 309 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore in 2008, while also rushing two times for seven yards … Played in 15 games for the basketball team at MGCCC in Spring, 2008 … Averaged 3.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game, while also registering 10 steals and four assists.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played one season of prep football as a junior at Sharpstown High School in Houston, Texas … Caught 40 passes for 532 yards and eight touchdowns … Was also an all-state performer in basketball at Long Beach High School in Mississippi.

PERSONAL: The son of Catina Short and Plummer Mayblen was born on Jan. 7, 1988 … Has three brothers, Eddie, Ezekiel and Plummer, Jr., as well as two sisters, Diamond and Ashnney … Enrolled in pre-major studies at UNCP.
