AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2015): Played in nine games … Amassed 97 all-purpose yards, including 65 receiving yards (11 receptions) … Also returned one kickoff for 20 yards and five punts for 16 yards (3.2 yards/return) …  Tallied at least one catch in eight different contests, including a season-best two receptions against North Greenville, Tuskegee and North Alabama … Caught two passes for 18 yards against Tuskegee, and tallied two catches for a season-best 19 yards at North Alabama … Also returned a kickoff for 20 yards against the nationally-ranked Lions … Returned one punt for a season-long 17 yards against Shaw.

AS A FRESHMAN (2014): Redshirted. Did not see game action.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year starter at Erwin High School for coach Mike Sexton … Earned all-conference, all-county and all-state honors as a prep senior after hauling in 59 catches for 980 yards and 10 touchdowns in pacing Erwin to a 9-2 finish and a spot in the playoffs … Also registered a pair of interception returns for touchdown … Season included Erwin's first 9-0 start in school history … Finished junior season with a program-best 98 receptions for 1,300 yards and 15 touchdowns … Also tallied four rushing and one kick return touchdown in his career for the Warriors.

PERSONAL: The son of Klelicha Shade and Jonathan Allen, Sr. … Has a younger sister, Tashiona, and a younger brother, Jaquavion … Maintained a 3.2 cumulative grade point average at Erwin High School … Enrolled in pre-major studies at UNCP.
