AS A JUNIOR (2016): Played in all 12 games … Amassed 38 tackles (25 solo), including eight tackles for loss (-38 yards) … Also totaled 2-1/2 sacks (-13 yards), three quarterback hurries and a pair of forced fumbles … Also credited with a 41-yard interception return for a touchdown against Kentucky Wesleyan … Registered multiple tackles against 11 opponents, including a season-best five stops (1 solo) against Catawba … Turned in a pair of solo tackles and forced a fumble in the season opener at Winston-Salem State … Made a season-best four solo tackles at Lenoir-Rhyne … Also credited with a pair of quarterback hurries against the Bears … Amassed three solo tackles (all for loss) at West Virginia State … Tallied unassisted sacks against both West Virginia State and Valdosta State.
 
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015): Played in five games … Totaled 10 tackles (5 solo), including two tackles for loss (-10 yards) … Also turned in 1-1/2 sacks (-9 yards) and a quarterback hurry … Registered multiple tackles against three opponents, including a season-best four stops (3 solo) at Fayetteville State … Also grabbed a 4-yard sack against the Broncos … Registered two tackles (1 solo) in season opener against Winston-Salem State, including an assist on a 5-yard sack … Turned in a trio of stops (1 solo) at North Alabama.

AS A FRESHMAN (2014): Played in eight games … Registered seven tackles (2 solo) … Logged tackles against four opponents, including a season-best three stops (1 solo) at Tusculum … Tallied two tackle assists in the season opener at Winston-Salem State … Turned in tackle assists against both Wingate and Limestone.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Dudley High School for coach Stephen Davis … Earned a pair of all-state nods, as well as all-conference, all-area and all-region laurels as a prep senior after leading the Panthers to an undefeated 15-0 record and the state championship … Registered 95 tackles, including 19 sacks and 18 tackles for loss … Awards included first team Associated Press and first team Carolina Gridiron all-state selections … Also earned second team all-North Carolina honors from USA Today ... Also lettered in basketball for the Panthers.

PERSONAL: The son of Laronica Vance … Has two older sisters, Radiance and Kyndra, and one younger brother, Jvonte … Maintained a 3.5 cumulative grade point average at Dudley High School and graduated in the top 23 percent of his 309-member senior class … An accounting major at UNCP.
