AS A JUNIOR (2016-17): All-Peach Belt Conference … Played in all 32 games (31 starts) … Averaged a team-best 14.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game … Also chipped in 18 steals (0.6/game) and 16 blocks (0.5) … Ranked 18th among league leaders in scoring … Shot nearly 52 percent (167-for-322) from the field (10th PBC), including a 22.6 percent (7-of-31) clip from the perimeter … Canned 77.8 percent (126-for-162) of his free throw attempts … Scored 10 or more points in 29 games, including a season-best 27 points (11 rebounds) in a home win over Barton … Posted a trio of double-double outings, including a 21-point, 10-rebound effort against Winston-Salem State (home) … Played a season-best 32 minutes against Clayton State and at Columbus State … Tallied eight or more rebounds 11 times, including a season-best 11 boards in the win over Barton … Recorded 10 or more field goals on a pair of occasions … Went 10-for-12 in the win over Barton, and 11-for-16 in a home victory over Young Harris.

BEFORE UNCP: Attended Polk State College and played two seasons under coach Matt Furjanic … Earned all-conference honors for the second-straight year after playing in 27 games (21 starts) and averaging 11.1 points and 6.1 rebounds in leading the Eagles to a 21-10 record and a spot in the Suncoast Conference Tournament championship game … Played in 33 games (9 starts) and shot better than 52 percent from the field during a freshman campaign that watched him turn in 9.2 points and 5.4 rebounds an outing. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Imhotep Charter School … Was an all-area prep performer and was a main cog in two state championship runs for the Panthers, including a 30-3 season as a senior in 2012-13 … Also played AAU basketball for the Wiz Kids (Bronx) and averaged 20 points, seven rebounds and two assists for the organization.

PERSONAL: The son of Luwana and Marcell Grant … Has three brothers – Marcel, Daniel and Kyel – and two sisters, Kaiya and Erica … A communications major at UNCP.
