AS A SOPHOMORE (2017): Played in all 10 games … Amassed 29 tackles (21 solo), including 3-1/2 tackles for loss (-9 yards) … Also turned in three interceptions and a forced fumble … Recorded multiple tackles in seven games, including a season-best eight stops (6 solo) in the season opener with Winston-Salem State … Also registered 2-1/2 tackles for loss (-7 yards) and a 26-yard interception return against the Rams … Recovered a fumble at Concord … Also registered interceptions against Lenoir-Rhyne and at Carson-Newman.

AS A FRESHMAN (2016): Played in 10 games … Registered 19 tackles (13 solo), including one tackle for loss (-16 yards) … Also turned in one interception, two pass break-ups, a fumble recovery and one quarterback hurry … Tallied two or more tackles in eight games, including a season-best three stops against both Lenoir-Rhyne and North Alabama … Turned in a pair of solo tackles in his collegiate debut against Fayetteville State … Tallied two tackles, one interception and a pass break-up at Shaw … Grabbed two tackles and a fumble recovery against Catawba … Logged lone sack of the season in the NCAA Division II Playoffs against North Alabama.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Scotland High School for coach Richard Bailey … Earned second-straight all-conference and all-county laurels as a senior after tallying 38 tackles, three interceptions and eight pass break-ups … Also registered 537 return yards (401 on kickoff returns).

PERSONAL: The son of Rhonda Hayward and Ronnie Gibson … Has an older brother, Xavier … A sports management major at UNCP.
