AS A JUNIOR (2016): Played in nine games … Totaled 16 tackles (6 solo), including 1-1/2 tackles for loss (-7 yards) … Also tallied an assist on a sack, two fumble recoveries and a pass break-up … Recorded multiple tackles against three opponents, including a season-best six stops (4 solo) in the season opener at Winston-Salem State … Recovered a fumble against both North Greenville and at North Alabama … Registered a sack assist and a pass break-up against Kentucky Wesleyan.
 
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015): Played in seven games … Registered 32 tackles (12 solo), including an assist on a tackle for loss (-2 yards) … Also tallied one interception and a pass break-up … Recorded multiple tackles against five opponents, including a season-best 13 stops (5 solo) at Catawba … Registered three tackles (2 solo) in his collegiate debut at North Greenville … Made seven tackles (3 solo) against West Virginia State, while also grabbing an interception and a pass break-up … Turned in five tackles and an assist on a tackle for loss at Kentucky Wesleyan.

BEFORE UNCP: Played one season (2012) at Louisburg College … Did not see game action.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Carver High School for coach Melvin Palmer … A three-time all-conference selection … Helped lead Yellowjackets to four consecutive state playoff appearances … Also lettered in basketball and track & field for Carver.

PERSONAL: The son of Licia and Albert Wright, Sr. … Has one brother, Kimmo, and two sisters, Jamelia and Tanisha … A sports management major at UNCP.
