AS A FRESHMAN (2010): Redshirted. Did not see varsity action.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at East Lincoln High School for coach Mike Byus … Threw for 1,836 yards and 23 touchdowns on 112-of-171 passing in leading the Mustangs to an 11-3 record and a spot in the state playoffs … Added 200 rushing yards as well … Registered five interceptions as a defensive back, including two he returned for a touchdown … Named team’s impact player, while also grabbing three player of the week laurels … Threw for 1,561 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior in pacing East Lincoln to a 14-2 clip, a conference title and a spot in the state championship game … Earned all-conference and two player of the week laurels … Also grabbed six interceptions, returning four for scores, and forced four fumbles as a member of the secondary … Was also named most valuable athlete on the East Lincoln track and field squad.

PERSONAL: The son of Pamela and Curtis Perry … Has three older brothers, Daryl, Curtis and Jason … Curtis is currently a running back for the Braves, while Jason is a wide receiver for UNCP … Maintained a 3.0 cumulative grade point average at East Lincoln High School … An exercise physiology major at UNCP.
