AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2013): A member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll ... Punted 39 times for 1,477 yards (37.9 yards/punt) … Registered a trio of 50+-yard punts … Pinned opponent inside its own 20-yard line 10 times and 12 of his punts resulted in fair catches … Also tallied five kickoffs for 223 yards (44.6 yards/kick) … Was 1-for-1 on field goal attempts and 2-for-2 on PAT attempts … Punted for a 40.3 yards/punt average or better five times … Punted for a season-best 44.7 average (three punts) in the win at Fayetteville State … Connected on a 50-yard punt in the opener against Winston-Salem State, and connected on a season-long 51-yard punt at Catawba … Punted for a 40.3 yard average (three punts) against Shaw, while also connecting on a pair of PAT attempts, as well as a 21-yard field goal try.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at McMichael High School for coaches Charles Shields (senior) and Gary Whiteman (junior) … Named Special Teams Player of the Year as a prep senior after scoring 16 points on 10 successful extra point attempts and a pair of field goals … Also punted 59 times for 1,706 yards (28.92 avg.) … 19 of his 59 punt attempts (.322) were downed inside the 20-yard-line … Recipient of “Mad Dawg” award following outstanding junior campaign … Also lettered in baseball and soccer for the Phoenix.
