2009 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Played in 10 games for UNCP, including a start at Carson-Newman … Rushed 27 times for 137 yards (5.1 avg.) and two touchdowns … Also caught eight passes for 59 yards (7.4 avg.) … Found the end zone against both Saint Paul’s and Carson-Newman … Rushed for 31 yards (three carries) against Saint Paul’s, while also catching three passes for a season-best 26 receiving yards against the Tigers … Registered a season-best 37 rushing yards (four carries) against Lane … Caught one pass in consecutive games with Fairmont State, Concord and North Greenville.

2008 (FRESHMAN): Redshirted. Did not see varsity action.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at White Oak High School for coach Bob Blick … Rushed for 1,365 yards and 14 touchdowns as a prep senior en route to all-conference and all-area laurels … Also garnered WCTI player of the week laurels … Rushed for at least 85 yards in all 12 games and season numbers included six 100-yard rushing games … Accounted for 1,300 rushing yards as a junior en route to all-conference and all-area honors as well ... Was also a standout football and track and field athlete for the Vikings.

PERSONAL: The son of Danine Williams-Collins and Romell Esters was born on March 16, 1990 … Has an older brother, Deunta, who is currently in his senior season with the North Carolina Tar Heels football team … Cousin, Daniel, is a former running back for the Braves … A computer science major at UNCP.
