HIGH SCHOOL: An all-conference standout for coach Burton Cates at Lee County High School … Earned all-conference and team offensive most valuable player accolades as a prep senior in leading the Yellowjackets to a 9-4 record and a deep run in the state playoffs … Graded out at 84 percent in two years as a starter on the offensive line, while also recording 28 pancake blocks … Also earned a pair of academic all-conference nods in football and baseball … Also played pitcher and first base on Lee County's baseball team.

PERSONAL: The son of Kenneth Lanier and Cynthia & Mike Parker … Has three brothers – Jordan, Casey and John – and one sister, Michaela … Maintained a 3.88 weighted grade point average at Lee County High School and graduated in the top 23 percent of his 297-member senior class … A criminal justice major at UNCP.
