HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at East Lincoln High School for coach Mike Byus … Earned third-straight all-conference nods, as well as all-area and all-state honors, as a senior after totaling 105 tackles, as well as 10 tackles for loss (three sacks), in leading the Mustangs to a 12-2 record and their third consecutive playoff appearance … Also produced 10 forced fumbles … Played a big part of an undefeated season for East Lincoln as a junior, amassing 95 tackles, a pair of sacks and six forced fumbles en route to the state title … Also a standout on the wrestling and track & field teams at East Lincoln.

PERSONAL: The son of Sandra and Benjamin McLean … Has two brothers, Torey and Elijah, and one sister, Jacquia … Maintained a 3.0 cumulative grade point average at East Lincoln High School … Enrolled in pre-major studies at UNCP.
