HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Terry Sanford High School for coach Bruce McClelland … Earned all-conference and defensive player of the year laurels as a senior after registering 172 tackles (80 solo), including one tackle for loss … Also turned in five interceptions, two pass break-ups, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble … Returned 16 kickoffs for 356 yards (22.3 yards/return) and 10 punts for 139 yards (13.9 yards/return) … Scored one touchdown on a punt return against Overhills High School … Totaled 138 tackles (73 solo) as a junior, including six tackles for loss … Also tallied three interceptions, four pass break-ups and one forced fumble … Is also a two-time all-conference performer in basketball for the Bulldogs.
