HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at East Wake High School for coach John Poulnot … Accounted for more than 2,300 offensive yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior at East Wake, including 1,700 rushing yards, and paced the Warriors to a 10-3 record and their first playoff appearance in eight years … Tallied more than 100 tackles (three sacks) on defense (linebacker), while also registering five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a pair of interceptions … Earned second-straight all-conference honors and finished runner-up for conference player of the year laurels … Named East Wake's most valuable player, while also being decorated with academic all-conference recognition … Recorded more than 1,900 offensive yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior, including 1,500 rushing yards … Was also a standout in track & field at East Wake, finishing fourth in the discus throw at the state championships as both a sophomore and a junior.
