AS A JUNIOR (2015): Played in six games … Tallied one catch for five yards and a touchdown … Also registered six tackles (4 solo) … Logged solo tackles in games with Winston-Salem State and North Greenville … Also recorded lone catch of campaign against the Crusaders – a 5-yard touchdown reception in third quarter … Tacked up a season-best two tackles at North Alabama, including a solo stop … Also recorded a solo tackle at Kentucky Wesleyan.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2014): Played in two games … Saw first action of the season at Newberry.

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN AT WESTERN CAROLINA (2013): Did not see game action.

AS A FRESHMAN AT WESTERN CAROLINA (2012): Redshirted ... Did not see game action.

BEFORE WESTERN CAROLINA: Played one season (2011) at Dean College in Franklin, Mass. … Redshirted and did not see game action on as a football player … Appeared in 29 games on the baseball field and recorded a .303 batting average with seven extra-base hits (2 HR), 15 RBI and 27 runs scored.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Northwood High School for coach Bill Hall … Earned all-conference nods as a prep senior after recording 12 touchdowns and pacing the Chargers to their fourth-straight playoff appearance … Earned all-conference and all-area honors as a junior after turning in 115 tackles, three forced fumbles and five interceptions … Took home defensive lineman of the year accolades as well … Also lettered in basketball and baseball at Northwood … Earned all-conference honors on the diamond.

PERSONAL: The son of Terry Bynum and Mike Davis … Maintained a 3.12 cumulative grade point average at Northwood High School and graduated in the top 40 percent of his 170-member senior class … A marketing major at UNCP.
