HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Murphy High School for coach David Gentry … Earned all-conference laurels as a prep senior after rushing for 1,180 yards and 26 touchdowns in leading the Bulldogs to a 13-3 record and an appearance in the state championship game … Also added more than 400 receiving yards … Named offensive most valuable player in state championship game … Accounted for more than 1,300 yards of total offense (800 rushing yards) as a junior in pacing Murphy to a 13-3 clip and a state championship … Named most valuable player of state championship game … Also lettered in track & field for Murphy.

PERSONAL: The son of Joan Posey … Has four older sisters – Michelle, Heather, Crystal and Sara – and one older brother, Thomas … Maintained a 3.39 cumulative grade point average at Murphy High School and graduated in the top 35 percent of his 106-member senior class … A theatre major at UNCP.
