AS A SENIOR (2016): Sat out season while recovering from an injury sustained in the preseason.

AS A JUNIOR (2015): Played in all 10 games … Caught 40 passes for 372 yards and two touchdowns … Also amassed 394 return yards, including 389 kickoff return yards (19 attempts) … Made at least two receptions in seven games, including a six-catch day at Catawba … Began his UNCP career with three receptions for 25 yards in the season opener with Winston-Salem State … Registered a season-long 61-yard kickoff return at Fayetteville State … Caught four passes for 50 yards and a touchdown against Tuskegee … Registered a season-best 92 receiving yards and a touchdown at Catawba … Performance included a season-long 28-yard reception in the fourth quarter … Returned four kicks for 81 yards at North Alabama.

AS A SOPHOMORE AT NORTH CAROLINA A&T (2014): Played in all 11 games for North Carolina A&T … Tallied three catches for 51 yards … Caught one pass for a season-long 22 yards against Chowan.

AS A FRESHMAN AT NORTH CAROLINA A&T (2013): Played in 10 games for North Carolina A&T … Caught seven passes for 144 yards and a touchdown … Hauled in two passes for 28 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown, against Virginia-Lynchburg … Caught three passes for 82 yards against Morgan State, including a season-long 47-yard reception in the third quarter.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Ola High School for coach John Kovzel … Earned second-straight all-conference and all-region nods as a prep senior after registering more than 1,500 all-purpose yards and 25 touchdowns … Scored eight touchdowns as a junior … Was also a standout in basketball and track & field for the Mustangs.

PERSONAL: The son of Judith and Joseph Spann … Has an older sister, Joselyn … Maintained a 3.4 cumulative grade point average at Ola High School … An accounting major at UNCP.
