AS A SOPHOMORE (2017): Played in seven games … Registered 137 all-purpose yards, including 116 rushing yards on 15 carries (7.7 yards/carry) … Also caught seven passes for 21 yards (3.0 yards/reception) … Rushed for a season-best 53 yards on five carries at Concord … Caught a season-high three passes at Newberry.

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2016): Played in two games … Carried the ball five times for 33 yards and one touchdown … Turned in a 17-yard touchdown run on his first collegiate rushing attempt against Fayetteville State … Carried the ball four times for 15 yards against Kentucky Wesleyan.

AS A FRESHMAN (2015): Redshirted … Did not see game action.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Scotland High School for coach Richard Bailey … Earned second-straight all-conference honors as a prep senior after rushing for 1,293 yards and 16 touchdowns … Also tallied 25 receiving yards … Named team's most outstanding running back and offensive player of the year as well … Is also a standout on the track & field team for the Fighting Scots … Earned a berth into the state championships in the 4x100 relay as a sophomore.

PERSONAL: The son of Della Sturdivent and Lotron McLaughlin … Has a younger sister, Jazmine, and a younger brother, Jaivon … Maintained a 3.9 cumulative grade point average at Scotland High School and graduated in the top 10 percent of his 385-member senior class … An engineering major at UNCP.
