HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Sanderson High School for coach Ben Kolstad … Earned second-straight first team all-conference laurels as a senior after registering 56 tackles (39 solo), while also accounting for 386 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns … Also tacked up three interceptions, a pair of sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery on defense … Totaled 189 rushing yards (33 carries) and 124 receiving yards (nine receptions) … Turned in 91 tackles (60 solo) and 250 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns as a junior … Recorded one interception, one fumble recovery and a pass break-up … Ran for 207 yards (27 carries) and two touchdowns … Also lettered in track & field for the Spartans.
 
PERSONAL: The son of LaTonya Ridges and Alaric Vines … Has three brothers – Dayon, Joshua and Omar – and three sisters – LaTia, Bianca and Kayla … Maintained a 3.28 cumulative grade point average and graduated in the top half of his 414-member senior class at Sanderson High School … A social work major at UNCP.
