AS A JUNIOR (2019): Played in four games … Caught 12 passes for 98 yards (8.2 yards/catch) and one touchdown. Winston-Salem State: Targeted two times … caught two passes for 13 yards and one touchdown … gave UNCP the lead for good with a 14-yard touchdown reception late in the fourth quarter. Virginia State: Targeted six times … posted season-highs in both receptions (5) and receiving yards (67) … three receptions went for 13 or more yards, including a season-longest 23-yard catch late in the third quarter. Catawba: Targeted two times … tallied two catches for seven yards. Limestone: Targeted three times … logged three receptions for 11 yards.
 
AS A SOPHOMORE (2018): Played in 10 games … Caught 31 passes for a team-best 463 yards (14.9 yards/catch) and two touchdowns … logged two or more receptions in nine games. Winston-Salem State: Targeted three times … caught one pass for 10 yards. Elizabeth City State: Targeted two times … tallied two receptions for 20 yards, including a 13-yard catch in the second quarter that set up UNCP’s fourth score of the game. Newberry: Targeted six times … registered three receptions for 25 yards, including a pair of 3^rd down receptions that resulted in first downs. Wingate: Targeted eight times … logged four receptions for six yards. Central State: Targeted five times … matched a season-best with five receptions for 51 yards … Hauled in a 22-yard reception on the opening play of UNCP’s first drive of the fourth quarter. Concord: Targeted four times … tallied three catches for 22 yards, including two receptions for 11 yards on UNCP’s initial drive in the third quarter. #24 Lenoir-Rhyne: Targeted eight times … matched a season-best with five receptions and turned in a season-high 112 yards … three of his receptions resulted in gains of 20 or more yards, including a 36-yard catch midway through the second quarter. Mars Hill: Targeted six times … hauled in three passes for 93 yards and a touchdown … Caught a 79-yard touchdown pass (season-longest reception) from Josh Jones that knotted the game up at 14 points apiece midway through the second quarter. Carson-Newman: Targeted eight times … tallied two catches for 65 yards … hauled in a 59-yard pass on second down amid UNCP’s first scoring drive of the contest. Catawba: Targeted five times … caught three passes for 59 yards and a touchdown … Hauled in a 37-yard pass from Josh Jones on the game’s opening play from scrimmage … caught a 10-yard scoring pass that tied the game up with 21 seconds left in regulation.

AS A FRESHMAN (2017): Played in nine games … Caught 12 passes for 176 yards and one touchdown … Also ran for 22 yards on two carries … Made multiple receptions in three games, including a season-best four receptions for 31 yards against Catawba … Hauled in three catches for 24 yards in the season opener with Winston-Salem State … Recorded a 16-yard run and a 10-yard catch at Elizabeth City State … Caught one pass for a season-long 44 yards against Tusculum … Caught two passes for 58 yards at Mars Hill, including a 42-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter … Also tallied a 6-yard run against the Lions.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Middle Creek High School for coach Randy Ragland … Earned all-conference honors as a senior after hauling in 31 catches for 718 yards and 13 touchdowns … Tallied 15 catches for 348 yards and five touchdowns as a junior … Also lettered in basketball for the Mustangs.
 
PERSONAL: The son of Cassandra and Reginald Hicks … Has an older brother, Maurice, and two younger brothers, Sean and Seth … Maintains a 3.5 cumulative grade point average at Middle Creek High School … Lists Jarvis Landry as his idol and Fast and Furious as his favorite movie … Macaroni and cheese is his favorite food … Plans on majoring in computer science at UNCP.
