HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Weddington High School under coach Gary Ellington … Lettered in basketball … Garnered multiple awards including Southern Carolinas Conference Player of the Year, Union Country Weekly Player of the Year, all-state, team most valuable player in back-to-back years, all-conference and was rated as one of the top 40 players in the state of North Carolina by Phenom Hoop Report for the 2014 recruiting class … Led the Warriors through a record-breaking season and ended the 2013-14 campaign with a 27-3 record to clinch a school record for most wins in a season and become regular season and conference tournament champions … The squad continued to the Western Regional and Elite Eight for the first time in school history and was led by Watts with 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 4.0 assists per game … Shot 47 percent from the field and tallied a career-high 32 points, as well as nine double-doubles, throughout the year … Logged 11.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 blocks and 4.0 assists per game for Team United.
