Attended Cape Fear CC ... Over the course of his two seasons at CFCC he averaged 10.1 points per game while also dishing out three assists per contest ... In his sophomore season the Sea Devils finished 19-10 overall with a 14-5 mark in conference play ... Cross tallied 283 points, 80 assists 68 rebounds and 64 steals during the 2007-08 season finishing second on the team in total minutes with 808 ... His freshman season saw the Sea Devils finish as runners-up in the Region X Tournament while also advancing to the NJCAA DI Regionals ... Led CFCC in three-pointers with 50 as a freshman.

Attended  Apex High School ...  Earned all-conference laurels three consecutive years ... Apex went 24-3 during his senior campaign.
