AS A JUNIOR (2015-16): Played in 12 games … Scored 22 points (1.8/game) and pulled down 17 rebounds (1.4) … Also logged six assists and four steals … Made UNCP debut against Catawba at PBC/SAC Challenge and tallied two points (both free throws) and one rebound … Scored first field goal of the season on a 3-pointer against Francis Marion at home … Turned in a season-best five points, four rebounds and a pair of steals over a season-high 17 minutes against Young Harris … Also played 15 minutes against Flagler (home) and Francis Marion (road) … Matched a season high with five points against the Saints.

BEFORE UNCP: Played one season (2012-13) at Rockingham (N.C.) Community College and another season at Cowley (Kan.) College under the direction of coach Tommy Desalme … Played in 17 games for Rockingham CC as a freshman … Averaged 17.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, while shooting better than 48 percent from the field and 77 percent from the free throw line … Redshirted as a sophomore at Cowley College. 

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Reidsville High School under coach Bill Walton as a senior and John Mitchell in his junior campaign … Lettered in basketball and received the Student Power Award and MVP laurels … As a senior, he led his team to a 26-4 record and worked their way to the state semi-finals ... Played in 29 games, while averaging 13.7 points an outing … Named team’s most valuable defensive player.

PERSONAL
The son of Deecy and Edward Smith … Has five brothers, Tyrale, Terrell, Marcus, Jamell and Reggie … A sports management major at UNCP.
