AS A JUNIOR (2013)
Ran his personal best time in the 8K at the PBC Championships with a time of 27:58.48 for a 55th place finish as the UNCP men’s team placed third … At the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships, he ran a time of 35:18.8 for a 102nd overall finish to assist the Braves in finishing seventh overall … Crossed the finish line in 62nd with a time of 28:10.8 at the Charlotte Cross Country Challenge … Placed 15th at the Bulldog Stampede with a time of 29:28 in the 8K to assist the team in capturing the title of team champion … Finished 15th at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational with a time of 17:27.33 in the 5K to help UNCP become race champion in the opening meet of the season … Claimed a 117th place finish at the Royal Cross Country Challenge with a time of 28:47.4.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2012)
A member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll ... Took home a fifth place finish in the opening meet of the season at the Gamecock Invitational with a time of 17:16.80 in the 5K run to help the Braves become race champions at the meet … Ran his fastest 8K time of the season at the Charlotte Invitational (175th, 28:07.98) and fastest 10K time in 36:53.1 at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships for a 132nd place finish to assist the Braves in finishing sixth overall … At the PBC Championships, he registered a 63rd place finish with a time of 29:43.22 in the 8K as the UNCP men’s team placed fourth … Gathered a 21st place finish at the Wingate Pre-SAC Invitational with a time of 19:11 for the team’s third place finish … Also ran a time of 29:28.04 at the ADIDAS/ Winthrop Invitational for a 152nd place finish in the race.

AS A FRESHMAN (2011)
Opened the season with an 11th place finish at the Gamecock Invitational with a time of 17:37.68 in the 5K … Ran a personal best time in the 8K at the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic on October 8 for a 96th place finish with a time of 28:39.78 … Also ran a personal best in the 10K with a time of 34:31.1 at the NCAA Division II Southeast Region Championships for an 85th place finish … Finished 40th at the Peach Belt Conference Championships with a time of 29:06.37 in the 8K … Placed 31st at the College of Charleston Invitational (28:57) and 212th at the Charlotte Invitational (29:11.69).

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Nash Central High School under Coach Brian Winham … Four-year letterman in cross country and track, and was a three-year letterman in indoor track … Named all-conference in cross country and track, all-region and all-state in track for the 4x800m race … Garnered the Extra Effort Award his junior year and the Bulldog Award his senior year … Posted a personal-best of 16:59 in the 5K … Registered a personal record in the 200m (26 seconds), 400m (54 seconds), 800m (2:05), 1600m (4:41), and the 3200m (10:29) … The team was the state runner-up in 2010.

The son of Nu Ngor Dang and Cham Van Nguyen … Has an older brother John Dang Nguyen … Ranked 56th out of his 260-member senior class and garnered a 3.5 cumulative grade point average … An athletic training major at UNCP.
