AS A FRESHMAN (2014)
As a middle hitter, she played in 13 matches, including 21 sets … Finished the season with 10 kills, 53 attempts and 0.48 kills per set … Dished out five assists and averaged 0.24 assists per set … Had one service ace and totaled a .850 servicing percentage … Totaled nine digs, while also averaged 0.43 digs per set … Logged nine block assists … Had a personal-best three kills against Erskine and notched three digs in the victory over Virginia Union … Posted three blocks in the five-set win over Georgia College in November.

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Purnell Swett High school under coach Courtney Hill … A four-year letterman in volleyball and three-year letterman in basketball … She was a two-time all-conference selection, and earned most valuable player honors as a junior … Posted 315 kills, 63 blocks, 47 service aces and 16 assists during her senior year … Led her team to tie for second-place in the conference, and the first round of the state playoffs … During her junior season she totaled 295 kills, 52 bocks, 35 service aces and 15 assists … She helped her team to a third-place finish in the conference and a first round appearance at the state playoffs.

PERSONAL
The daughter of Shannon and James Bird … Has two older sisters, Olivia and Laura, and one younger sister, Leanna … Her older sister Laura is a member of the UNCP women's golf team and her father, James, played baseball at UNCP … Earned a 3.972 grade point average and is ranked 23rd out of 340-person senior class … Was actively involved in many honor societies, such as the National Honor Society, the National Science Honor Society, the National Career and Technical honor Society, Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society and the BETA Club … She was a member of the student government association, Health Occupations Students of America organization and the Young Christians Association … She served as the class president and participated in Breakfast buddies and Students Against Violence Everywhere … A chemistry major at UNCP.
