AS A FRESHMAN (2017-18): Played in all 33 games … Averaged 2.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 8.8 minutes per game … Also logged 14 assists, 10 steals and one block … Shot better than 36 percent (30-for-83) from the field, including a 15-for-40 (.375) success rate from the perimeter … Canned 79 percent (15-of-19) of his attempts from the free throw line … Got into the scoring column in 18 games, including a season-best 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting against Catawba … Registered a season-best seven rebounds against Columbus State at home, but pulled down five or more boards in three other contests as well … Turned in a pair of steals against Francis Marion in the PBC Tournament, as well as against Queens at the NCAA Southeast Regional … Drained multiple 3-pointers in four contests.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Wilson High School for coach Derrick McQueen … Earned all-state nod, as well as all-conference and region player of the year accolades, as a senior after averaging 17.2 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game in leading Wilson to a 21-1 record, a trip to the state tournament semifinals and a No. 1 ranking in the state … Finalist for WPDE Player of the Year award … Earned a spot on the Hoop Zone team and was also a nominee for the North-South All-Star Game … Averaged 15.2 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game on the way to earning all-conference and all-region nods as a junior.
