Sara Pasour enters her second season as the assistant volleyball coach at UNC Pembroke after joining the staff on July 26, 2024.
A former NCAA Division II student-athlete, Pasour treks to Pembroke from Piedmont University where she spent the 2023 season as an assistant coach. During her time at Piedmont, Pasour helped to more than double the teams wins from the previous season and host the programs first ever home playoff match. Prior to her time at Piedmont, she spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at UNC Charlotte. Her stint at Charlotte also included working with the Charlotte sports and performance staff where she assisted with team lifts and managing player nutrition post-workout.
A four-year player at Mars Hill, Pasour played in all 96 matches and finished her career with 81 service aces, 894 digs and 1,728 assists. Pasour led her team in assists all four seasons of her career. Pasour was named to the South Atlantic Conference All-Freshman team in 2017.
Pasour earned her bachelor's degree in integrated health science with a concentration in physical therapy from Mars Hill in 2021. She also earned her master's degree in kinesiology from UNC Charlotte in 2023.
