AS A SOPHOMORE (2011)
Spent the season on the back row by starting in one of 27 matches and played in 61 sets for the Lady Braves … Registered 109 digs for 1.79 digs per set and totaled 15 points … Posted seven kills on 47 attempts … Dished out four assists on 111 attempts and had eight service aces out of 139 attempts for a serving percentage of .921 percent … Collected 14 digs in the five-set victory over Carson-Newman and in the 3-0 win over Concord and 11 digs in the victory over PBC foe Lander … Helped UNCP record victories against PBC opponents Lander and Augusta State, as well as victories over Carson-Newman, Elizabeth City State, Millersville, Barton and Concord.

AS A FRESHMAN (2010)
As an outside hitter, she started two of 29 matches played with 94 sets played … Collected 15 kills on the season … Registered 99 total attacks, 171 digs, which was fourth on the team at the end of the season, and three assists … Totaled 40.5 points with 0.43 points per game … Wrapped up the season as fourth on the team in service aces with 25 on the season … Posted a season-high four service aces, twice, against West Virginia Wesleyan on Sept. 13 and Winston-Salem State on Sept. 28 … Collected a season-high 13 digs against Barton on Sept. 4 … Totaled four points against West Virginia Wesleyan, Winston-Salem State, Bowie State, and Armstrong in the first round of the conference tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL
Jennifer (Jenn) Grunden comes to UNC Pembroke from Lake Zurich Senior High School in Lake Zurich, Ill. where she was a four year letter winner … Led her team to a 66-11 record over her final two seasons as team captain … Notched 274 kills, 81 service aces, 367 digs and 46 solo blocks during her senior season, earning her team MVP honors …  Earned her way onto the North Suburban All-Conference Team, All-State Team and was also named the captain of the Lake County All-Area Team and the News-Sun All-Lake County Team as a senior … Earned the Daily Herald Player of the Year honors after leading her team to the Elite 8 in the Illinois state tournament …  Started her accolade list as a junior by being named honorable mention all-conference and all-area as well as Lake Zurich Senior High MVP … Played her club ball for Sky High and was selected for the AAU All-Tournament All-Star team and served as the team’s captain ...
