The Braves (4-17, 1-8 PBC) were overwhelmed by a strong Montevallo (14-8, 6-3) offensive performance as the Falcons delivered 43 kills - earning a .327 hitting percentage - compared to 30 kills from UNCP. The Falcons also earned the advantage on service aces and blocks, collecting eight and four, respectively, while the Black and Gold were able to put up three blocks and notch a trio of service aces.
