ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Host Flagler hit .366, its second-highest mark of the season, and erased an upset attempt from the UNC Pembroke volleyball squad with a straight-sets, Peach Belt Conference victory Saturday afternoon on the east coast of Florida.

FIRST SET
-The Braves fell behind early in the opening set when Flagler ripped off a 5-0 run to grab a 6-2 lead.
-Flagler scored six of seven points to extend its advantage to 21-11 before closing out the set with four of the final six tallies.
SECOND SET
-The Saints wasted no time building up a hefty lead in the second set by claiming eight of the first 10 rallies.

Michelle Voyer kill brought the Black & Gold within five at 17-12, but the hosts won eight of the last nine points, capped off by a service ace, to go up 2-0 in the match.
THIRD SET
-In exact fashion as set two, the Braves found themselves down 8-2 after the set's first 10 points.

April Tankersley uncorked a kill followed by a Flagler attack error to bring the guests within four at 10-6.
-However, Flagler then rattled off another 8-2 run to take a commanding 18-8 lead and won the match 3-0 on a Taja Valmyr kill.
NOTABLES
-The Braves continued their impressive run of blocks and edged Flagler 5-4 in the block column. It was the 12th time in 19 matches UNCP has recorded more blocks than the opposition.

Makaylah Elliott paced the Braves with six kills, while Voyer added five and
Madelyn Ashwell finished with four.

Cayce Bell's 19 digs brings her career total to 925 and just 75 shy of 1,000. Her current pace of 18.8 digs per match would see her break the 1,000-dig mark in Pembroke on Oct. 20 against Augusta.

The Braves welcome a full week off before heading to Hartsville, South Carolina for the Coker Tri-Match next Saturday. UNCP will open the afternoon with a meeting with Coker at 2 p.m. before doing battle with undefeated Wingate at 4 p.m. inside the DeLoach Center.
