WINSTON-SALEM – Four UNC Pembroke volleyball players logged double-digit kills to power the Braves to a .230 hitting percentage and their third-straight victory in a straight-sets win over host Winston-Salem State on Wednesday night at Whitaker Gymnasium.

FIRST SET
-The Braves turned a 20-18 lead into a 24-19 advantage with a 4-1 run thanks to three kills and a Winston-Salem State attack error before converting their third set point on an
Aquia Jones kill.
SECOND SET
-Three-straight UNCP points brought the Braves within one at 23-22, but the Rams took advantage of a Black & Gold attack error and notched a block on set point to tie the match at one set apiece.
THIRD SET
-A 9-0 run turned a 4-2 UNCP deficit into an 11-4 lead and the Braves extended the lead to 10 (23-13) with four-straight points.
-Tyler Fitzpatrick unleashed a kill on the Braves' second set point to give the guests a 2-1 lead in the match.
FOURTH SET

Bailee Jones served nine-straight UNCP points to begin the set before the Rams got on the board to cut the lead to 9-1.
-Up 22-15, two kills from
Madelyn Ashwell and an April Tankersley service error put a cap on the 3-1 UNCP victory.
NOTABLES
-Wednesday marked the first time since Oct. 18-22, 2014 that the Braves have won three-straight matches.
-The Braves held an advantage in kills (53-47), aces (10-4), assists (46-43) and digs (57-55). UNCP's 53 kills are its second-most in a four-set match this season (54, vs. Augusta on 10/20).

Aquia Jones paced the Braves with 13 kills, Fitzpatrick matched a career high with 11 and
Makaylah Elliott and Michelle Voyer each tacked on 10. Voyer also tied a career high in kills.

Aquia Jones led all Braves with four block assists, while Elliott and Tankersley tacked on three each.
-Miranda Cada crossed the 20-assist plateau for the sixth time this season with 25 and added a season-high four service aces and
Bailee Jones dished out 18 assists.
Cayce Bell had a match-high 21 digs, which was her 15th instance of at least 20 digs this season.
