PEMBROKE
– The UNC Pembroke baseball team pounded out 17 hits and scored 10 times behind another solid outing from right-hander Kyle Boraski as the Braves sent out their senior class in style with a 10-3 rout of Francis Marion on Sunday afternoon at Sammy Cox Field.

UNCP (26-11, 10-8 PBC) has now captured 10 of its last 12 outings since mid-March and improved to 22-7 in Pembroke with Sunday's result. The Patriots (26-14, 8-10) have now dropped nine of their last 12 road contests.

Stibel Aleman Saba homered for the fourth time this season to fuel a perfect 4-for-4 day at the dish, while fellow senior Nick Debo turned in a 2-for-2 hitting line with a walk and a pair of hit by pitches. Roberto Rivera (3-for-5, 3 R) and Nick Salisbury (3-for-4, R) recorded a trio of hits for the hosts as well.

William Robbins doubled in a run on a 2-for-2 day to pace Francis Marion, while Antonio Pino singled and scored with a pinch hit at-bat in the ninth.

Kyle Boraski (4-2) registered a win for the fourth-straight start after striking out four and yielding just three hits in five innings from the hill. Starter Sam High (1-2) allowed six earned runs on as many hits in just 1-1/3 innings of work to saddle the loss for the visitors.

A 3-run bomb by Aleman Saba highlighted a 5-run inning for the Black & Gold in the first, but UNCP led by as many as 10 runs after Aleman Saba singled in Debo in the sixth. The Patriots used a wild pitch to spoil the shutout with one out in the ninth, but added two more runs on run-scoring at-bats from Connor Howell and Robbins.

The Braves will open up a five-game road trip on Tuesday when they make the short trip up U.S. 74 to battle Wingate (17-22) in the second half of a home-and-home series at Ron Christopher Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. UNCP posted a 7-3 win over the Bulldogs on March 21 in Pembroke.
